Steve Ballmer may now be the guy in charge at Microsoft and is sometimes known for his occasional outbursts, but it looks like he’s really calmed down from the early days at Microsoft where he did TV advert for a then state-of-the-art Windows 1.0.

Just take a look at it here – if things hadn’t worked out at Microsoft, it looks like he could have carved out a career as one of those TV salesman whether he tried to sell cars, TVs or anything else. It’s certainly a different approach to some of the more recent Microsoft funny TV adverts, the Bing TV advert and the Internet Explorer 8 TV adverts.

Giant Military Robots Video!

We recently featured an article on Zath about a giant 59ft Gundam statue that had been built in Tokyo to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Gundam – that’s one hell of a way to celebrate, you can see lots of pictures of the construction of it and also a video which shows the giant Gundam statue moving!

So when Justin Dowling sent us his video that he’d created about a giant weaponised bipedal unit the military may have made in secret – we just had to feature it here on Zath TV.

Leo Laporte Gets Mad With Mike Arrington of TechCrunch

Leo Laporte is a calm, well-mannered guy who produces a whole bunch of great “This Week in Tech” audio and video podcasts as well as live-streaming his other shows from his house – I personally think he’s one of the best tech-based commentators out there and equally his shows are usually pretty spot on and he tells it like it is.

However, in this clip you can see that he really loses his temper (yet still is actually quite calm compared with most people), but the fact he starts swearing (as he never normally does) really shows he’s been wound up by Mike Arrington of TechCrunch when he insinuates that he’s only giving the Palm Pre a good review because he got a loan unit for a week???

I’m guessing Mike Arrington clearly didn’t get one to look at and is just plain jealous!
