Stargate Universe Season 1 Trailer

Stargate Universe is the second spin-off show from the highly successful Stargate SG-1 series which itself was the follow-up to the 1994 Stargate movie, however this show is different, quite different!

While the Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis were action-orientated and quite light-hearted at times, Universe seems to have broken with what seemed a fairly winning formula and seems to have been highly influenced by the recent successful character-driven shows such as Lost and Battlestar Galactica – however the big question is whether it will work for the Stargate Universe?

It’s tough to say from what we’ve seen so far as it is fairly dark and gritty as a show, but having seen the first 10 episodes so far, it’s also a fairly slow-moving show, so all of that has mean that a lot of the established Stargate fans aren’t liking it (perhaps made worse since Atlantis was cancelled last year so the production team could focus on this show, maybe there’s still some resentment there over that) and ratings haven’t been great, but it’s still got half of its first season still to go and has already been re-newed for a second season, so hopefully the show will find its feet as I’m sure it does have potential.

Lego Domino Stacking Machine

Right, I will admit it right now, probably my favourite toy as a kid was Lego, I would build loads of different stuff with it, however I never really got into building Lego Technics that much which gave you more options and the use of motors/gears etc.

However, this guy can clearly use Lego to construct some rather nifty machinery as he’s combined Lego with something else I played with at one point and that is dominos!

Now this is how I wish I could have stacked dominos in lines when I was a kid, it would have saved sooooo much time!

Lego Pop-Up Box Model Video

I’ve been a big fan of Lego ever since I was a small kid and therefore I know as well as anybody just how long it takes to create anything truly good with Lego – and we’re not talking about simply building a bought set by following the instructions (as fun as that can be), no we’re talking about creating Lego models yourself, similar to the Lego fan who made custom Lego sets to ask his girlfriend to marry him with.

Now let’s take that thought to a whole new level, to something that requires not just construction skills, but engineering skills – have you ever even considered the amount of work it must take a create a 3D pop-up Lego box set?

Truly amazing!

Warehouse Mattress Dominos Video

Do you remember playing dominos as a kid? A great game I quite enjoyed, although I perhaps enjoyed the whole setting up and running of a “Domino Rally” style event, admittedly it could takes an hour or more to setup a large sized set, only for them to fall down in just seconds, but it always seemed worth it.

Now take a look at this, perhaps this is what happens when you get bored working with mattresses and somebody has a bright idea of nostalgia from their childhood! – Likewise this must have taken ages to set up! But worth it for a publicity stunt if nothing else!

Slow Motion Bullet Impacts Video

Ever wondered what actually happens when a bullet impacts something? Well now you can get a much better idea by taking a look at this video which shows lots of different bullet impacts in slow motion as taken by a camera taking 1 million frames per second to capture the precise detail of what happens when bullets hit things.

Definitely an interesting video to take a look at and makes you realise just how much bullets can deform on impact, some look like they are just melting due to the force at which they are being propelled into an object.

I’ve been a big fan of Transformers ever since I was a little kid and used to watch the cartoon and play with the toys, so having seen the recent movies, including Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen – what’s a cool thing you can do as a big kid when it comes to Transformers?

Dress up in fancy dress of course and that’s just what these people in the video below have done – you can actually get custom made Transformers fancy dress costumes that actually transform (although I doubt you’ll find one to use an Angels fancy dress voucher code)…but these certainly look very cool, providing you’re flexible enough of course!

Titanic 2 Trailer – Two The Surface!

I remember seeing this fake spoof trailer for the Titanic sequel quite some time ago, but it’s a pretty good mashup of various movie scenes to create a fairly believable movie trailer.

Just take a look below at the Titanic 2 trailer where you’ll see Leonardo DiCaprio returning from the deep, freezing cold of the ocean as Jack Dawson, now the final survivor of the Titanic dealing with the modern world!

An inspired story don’t you think? Why hasn’t Titanic 2 been made yet???

The Back to the Future films probably my all-time favourite films, but I didn’t see the first film until around 1988 at a friend’s house on VHS when I was around 10 years old, so obviously I’ve only ever seen the re-edited trailers that are obviously more modern-styled.

So when I saw the following original mid-80s trailer for Back to the Future, it definitely puts a different spin on the Marty McFly movie in a real cheesy 80s way!

G.I. Joe Delta 6 Accelerator Suit Testing On Skateboard Ramp

With the G.I. Joe movie having been released, this viral video has been created to tie-in with it – it is basically showing some test footage of the military testing the Delta 6 Accelerator Suit on a skateboard ramp, which starts off quite normal, but then its true power is revealed!
